Area Committees
The Fund has Area Committees up and down the country. They are all run by volunteers from within the industry, who give up their time to support the Fund.
Committees have a vital role to play in raising awareness and increasing the profile of the Fund within the industry. They also help raise money by holding their own fundraising events and supporting the welfare of our beneficiaries through visiting and organising outings.
In the last year alone the Area Committees raised almost £130,000. Despite tough trading conditions for all, the Area Committees have continued to increase their Funds year on year. We are thankful to all who give up their time to run the Committees and to the companies who help support their efforts.
We are always looking for people to help our Area Committees. By joining a committee you will be involved in a very worthwhile cause, and have a lot of fun in the process!
Some people who join committees, say that they do so because it is their way to give something back, some join to represent their companies, and others join to network and make friends. Whatever your reasons are for becoming involved with the Fund, you will be helping people who, like you, have served in your industry and now need your help.
